Edinburgh Cup : ウィキペディア英語版 | Edinburgh Cup The Edinburgh Cup was a women's professional tennis tournament, held from 1971–1974, and then once more in 1977, in Edinburgh, Scotland. The event was known as the Dewar Cup (1971–1974) and the McIntosh Scottish Championships (1977) for sponsorship reasons. The event was played on outdoor clay courts from 1972–1974, and outdoor grass courts in 1977. The tournament was not part of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour, but is listed, albeit as a non-tour event, in the WTA's Tour's history section. Virginia Wade, later a Wimbledon champion, was the only Briton to win a title at the tournament, and was also the event's most successful player, with two wins in the singles and doubles. ==Champions==
